2011 Annual General Meeting

The 2011 Annual General Meeting was held on 9th June at the Sammy Miller Motor Cycle Museum where, after an excellent buffet lunch at the on site Bashley Tea Rooms the meeting was held with inputs from the IHE President, Steve Spender and branch Chairman, Chris Stark. After the meeting we were treated to a guided tour of the museum which contained vintage and not so vintage machines all kept in an immaculate condition. A report of the event can be viewed here.

2010 Annual General Meeting

We recently held our AGM at the Aldershot Military Museum where members enjoyed a buffet lunch which preceeded business of the day. Following the meeting we were able to visit the Museum which displayed artefacts and memories of the time when Aldershot was truly "the home of the British Army". 2009 Annual General Meeting

Our 2009 AGM was held at, and by kind permission of West Sussex Highways Offices at their Drayton, Chichester offices. Following an ample buffet, delegates were updated on current trends within the Institute by Vice President, Steve Spender with particular reference to the (then) proposed change of the Institute’s name to that of Institute of Highway Engineers. In his first report to the Branch as Chairman, Chris Stark advised of the 10 events held by the Branch over the past year that attracted over 430 members and guests. 19th June 2008 – Annual General Meeting

The Region's 2008 AGM took place at the National Trust Wey Navigation Centre, Dapdune Wharf, Guildford. We were delighted to welcome the newly appointed IHE Chairman, Tony Sharp, who braved the elements by coming to Guildford on his motorbike! As ever this venue made for an enjoyable and informative day for the 16 delegates who made the effort. A report of the event is available for you to download here.

14th June 2007 - Annual General Meeting

The 2007 AGM was held at the Amberley Working Museum, West Sussex when 23 delegates and guests enjoyed an excellent buffet lunch which was followed by the business of the day and an interesting presentation on the work of the Honourable Company of Paviors with particular reference to the Paviors Museum of Roadmaking that is housed in the Museum. 2006 Annual General Meeting, Banstead Mobility Centre, Banstead, Surrey

The 2006 AGM was held on Thursday 22nd June 2006 at The Queen Elizabeth Foundation Mobility Centre, Surrey. Despite a low attendance, delegates enjoyed an excellent buffet lunch prior to the meeting. An excellent presentation followed by a tour of the facilities was given by the Centre Manager, Sue Vernon, on the work of the Centre that aims to bring independence and mobility to people physically affected and across all age ranges. 9th June 2005 – AGM – Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, West Sussex

The 2005 Annual General Meeting was held at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, near Singleton in West Sussex. This is the leading museum of historic buildings in England, is designated by the Government for its outstanding collections of national importance and was the winner of the Museum of the Year Award.
